I have a seminary final exam on Tuesday 13th, Introduction to Systematic Theology, taught by Dr. Sinclair Ferguson. Appreciate prayers! Yeah, it's true, I've been taking classes for almost 5 years now, and I'm finally taking Intro ST 101. (To my credit, I did audit the class under Dr. Gaffin a few years ago.) Well, even Dr. Ferguson says it really should be one of the last courses one takes (i.e. our thoughts about how to approach the subject matter should be determined by our knowledge of the subject matter). After this class, I estimate having about 11 hours remaining in an MAR in Biblical Studies. But I still need to officially enroll in that program. :) Now that I have a full time job, limited funds, and still looking for a future wife....I should finish the degree before I turn 40. :) Actually, I'm ready to be finished with my classwork. Every year, I feel less and less like a student there. Almost all of my fellow classmates have graduated who started with me. And since I only have time and money to take one class per semester, I don't feel like I'm around the other students enough to get to know them. I do enjoy the classes. Dr. Ferguson is a very refreshing professor. When I leave class, my brain hurts, but my heart is warmed from the gospel.

Passing Thoughts
Eric, Heard you're turning 31. Don't feel bad...I just hit 40. I enjoyed reading your blogs. Very refreshing after reading all my kids blogs from Xanga. It's a concerned parent thing, I guess. But after so much teenage drama, it's nice to read something an adult wrote.
Even one class at a time, you're getting it done! And doesn't that make it easier to concentrate and get all you can out of the one class. My ambition in life, when I was 20, was to be a career student. You're living my dream! I guess being a teacher is kind of like that, so I'm living it too. Anyway, be encouraged. Praying for you, Michelle.

Prayers are with you. If your blogs are any indication, you will do very well. I would think that English/Composition might be your major after reading your entries.
On a personal note, I really enjoyed the geneology vs. gynecology--highly insightful and the last paragraph was wonderful.
Again, praying for you, Rebekah

Eric, I really don't see you not suceeding in a class and the thought of your brain 'hurting' is quite the foreign concept for me. I know it was several years ago, but you always seemed to have the education thing well in hand.
Still, I hope you did well (you haven't mentioned the outcome of said test) and that you have a very merry holiday season! ~ "Turtle" (from waaaay back when...)

Thank you all for your prayers. No surprises on the test, and I wrote for almost 2hrs nonstop. That doesn't mean I sufficiently (and efficiently) answered each question, but I did have things to say and got most of it down. I was quite relieved to finish the exam.
Now after checking the rest of my course plan, it appears I only have one more course to take! I might be graduating in Spring '97 afterall.
