Here is what’s happening in the life
of Grace Presbyterian Church:
Saturday, June 11th:

Both the
Men’s prayer breakfast and
the Women’s Bible Study will
meet this morning. The Men’s prayer breakfast will meet at the church at
8:00 a.m. For more information, call me at 321-6151. The Women’s Bible
Study will meet at the Johnsons’ house at 8:30 a.m. For more information

This coming Lord’s Day, June 12th:

Last
week during the adult Sunday School
class, we looked at the relationship of God’s sovereignty to our praying.
This week, we will consider how Paul prays in the light of the sovereignty of
God. Our text will be Ephesians 1:15-23.

At the
morning service, I will preach on Colossians
1:24 – 2:5. The message will be, “The Marks of

As we do
each time we observe the Lord’s Supper, we will receive a diaconal offering. This offering is taken
up at the same time as the general offering. Please specify on your check if it
is for the diaconal offering, or use one of the marked envelopes set out on the
table in the narthex of the church.

At the evening service, I will begin a new,
four-week series on Christian discipleship.
Using the Gospel of Mark as our guide, we will consider what it means to be a
follower of Jesus Christ. This week’s message will be, “The Call and the Cross.” The
evening service begins at 6:00 p.m.
Garage Sale:
-
There
will be a church garage sale on June 17th
and 18th. The proceeds will be used to help pay for the
registration fees of the campers going to the presbytery’s Young People’s Camp next month (see
