You were ransomed…with the precious blood of Christ, like a lamb without blemish or spot.

(1 Peter 1:18, 19)

Dear Members and Friends of Grace,

Thanks be to God for the blood of Christ by which he has ransomed us from bondage to sin and death! As we prepare for the Lord’s Supper this Sunday, take time to reflect on Christ’s death on the cross that has secured our eternal salvation.

Please note the following information:

Saturday, February 11th:

-         The Women’s Bible Study will meet at the Johnsons’ (3827 Lynnbrook Circle, Norman) this morning at 8:30 a.m. Please call Marilyn Doerfel (364-0830) or Robyn Johnson (321-6151) for more information.

-         The Men’s prayer breakfast will meet at the church at 8:00 a.m. Call me at 321-6151 with any questions.

This coming Lord’s Day, February 12th:

-         The adult Sunday School class will study chapter 7 of Dr. Clowney’s book, “Living in Christ’s Church.” This Sunday, we will continue to consider the biblical teaching of the Church as the body of Christ.

-         At the morning service, I will preach from Psalm 130.

-         The Lord’s Supper will be administered, and the monthly diaconal offering will be received.

-         There will be a soup meal at the church after the morning service.

-         The evening service will meet at 6:00 p.m. We’ll watch and discuss the next segment in R. C. Sproul’s video series, “What is Reformed Theology?”

Sunday, February 19th:

-         OPC missionaries Rev. Murray and Tsuruko Uomoto will visit Grace for the Sunday evening service and share with us the work they and other OP missionaries have been doing in Japan. I am sure you will enjoy meeting Murray and Tsuruko and hearing from them the challenges and joys of ministering the gospel in a land in which Christ is largely unknown.

Website update:

-         Grace’s website has been updated to include sermons and Sunday School lessons up to February 5th.

Eric Pyle’s work with Wycliffe Bible Translators:

-         Read Eric’s 2005 annual report concerning his work as a software developer for Wycliffe.

In Christ,

Pastor Scott
