Bless the LORD, O my soul! O LORD my God, you are very great!

(Psalm 104:1)

Dear Members and Friends of Grace,

Greetings in Christ’s name! Please note the following information:

Saturday, November 19th:

-                           The Women’s Bible Study will meet at the Johnsons’ house at 8:30 a.m. For more information, contact Marilyn Doerfel (364-0830) or Robyn Johnson (321-6151).

-                           The Session will meet at the church at 9:00 a.m.

This coming Lord’s Day, November 20th:

-         The adult Sunday School class will continue its study of the “The Christian Life” by Sinclair Ferguson. This week, we will consider the Bible’s teaching on the meaning of death for the Christian.

-         The morning sermon will be on 2 Corinthians 9:6-14.

-         At the evening service, we will watch and discuss an R.C. Sproul teaching video entitled, “What Is Reformed Theology?” I encourage you to invite anyone you think might be interested in learning more about Reformed theology to join us.

Next Sunday, November 27th:

-         We will receive our annual Thank Offering during this morning’s service. The money received for the Thank Offering will go directly to support the various ministries of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church: Christian Education, Home Missions, and Foreign Missions. Prayerfully consider what you can give to help continue the world-wide gospel ministry of the OPC.

Sunday evening, December 11th:

-         Rev. Stephen Atkinson of Christian Witness to Israel (www.cwi.org.uk), will speak to our congregation at the evening service on this Lord’s Day. Rev. Atkinson will be visiting us from Ireland and will speak about the Bible’s teaching on the Jewish people and how his organization is working to bring the gospel to Jews both in modern-day Israel and in other parts of the world. His ministry to us should be both very educational and edifying as we learn what God is doing through the church to reach the physical descendents of Abraham with the good news of Jesus Christ.

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.

(Psalm 19:1)

Dear Members and Friends of Grace,

As we have been looking at the opening chapters of Genesis during our morning services, we have been reminded that the world we inhabit, having been made by God, is a constant reminder of the “goodness, wisdom, and power God” (WCF I:1). We often take our surroundings for granted and forget that, if we are only willing to stop and listen, we may hear the never-ending testimony that creation itself speaks to the majesty and glory of God. And as Christians, we are filled with joy and wonder that the God who has created all things has come down to us in the person of Jesus Christ his Son to give us the forgiveness of sins and eternal life. Praise God that he is both our Creator and our Redeemer!

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

(John 10:11)

Dear Members and Friends of Grace,

Greetings in the name of our faithful Shepherd who laid down his life that we may live – the Lord Jesus Christ! First, thank you all for your prayers for our family as we traveled to Illinois last week. We had a very refreshing time visiting with family and seeing dear brothers and sisters in Christ at Bethel OPC in Wheaton, IL. Please remember Robyn, the children, and Robyn’s mother in your prayers as they will begin their drive back to Norman this Thursday.

Note the following information:

Wednesday, November 2nd:

-                           The Wednesday Evening Prayer Meeting will meet at 7:00 p.m. at the Johnsons’ house. Please contact me with any matters for thanksgiving or prayer. Also, note that since Robyn is not in town, there will be NO dinner for the singles before the prayer meeting this week at our house. (You don’t want me to prepare you dinner – trust me!). But, we will resume inviting all singles over for dinner at 6:00 p.m. starting next Wednesday.

Saturday, November 5th:

-                           The Women’s Bible Study will meet this evening. The time and place is still to be determined. The women will begin a study of the letter to the Philippians. Please contact Marilyn Doerfel (364-0830) for more information.
